236% Higher Revenue Growth
Monthly revenue more than tripled in 30 days, from $22,000 to $74,000, and has held strong for 10+ months since.
Cuddle Paw is a kids' comfort brand with 40 SKUs on the Amazon US marketplace, selling plush comfort pillows in the children's gifting category. Sellonics took over the account in August 2025 and remains its full-service partner. Despite a premium product and a steady ad budget, the account had stalled. Campaign inefficiency, weak organic rankings, and a looming aged-inventory surcharge were threatening margins ahead of Q4. What follows is the turnaround and the results since.

The Challenges
Fractured Campaign Architecture
No strategic separation between Auto, Manual, Brand, and Competitor campaigns. The same search terms triggered multiple campaigns at once, inflating CPCs and making clean optimization impossible.
Wasted Ad Spend
Thousands of dollars are spent monthly on irrelevant, low-intent searches, with no negative-keyword filters in place at any stage of the funnel.
Organic Ranking Stagnation
Organic share locked at 23%, leaving the brand almost entirely dependent on paid traffic to generate revenue.
Listings Not Converting Premium Traffic
Titles were not indexed for high-volume terms, bullets were generic, and A+ content lacked the lifestyle imagery the kids' gifting category needs, so paid traffic landed on listings that could not close the sale.
Aged-Inventory Surcharge
Over 3,800 units had sat in FBA for 180+ days, with a $7,432.61 surcharge due on September 15, 2025, locking up capital and raising storage fees month over month.
No Competitive Intelligence
No benchmarking of top ASINs, competitor keyword gaps, or competitor-audience targeting, in a category with several established players.
Our Approach
Phase 1: Campaign Reconstruction and PPC Architecture
- Paused every duplicate, cannibalizing, and underperforming campaign to stop the immediate budget bleed
- Rebuilt PPC with strict separation: Auto Discovery, Brand Defense, Non-Brand Exact, Broad Expansion, and ASIN or Product Targeting
- Launched a two-track system: high-bid Top-of-Search campaigns for velocity, plus single-keyword clearance campaigns for each aged ASIN
- Applied bid multipliers for Top-of-Search and Product-Page placements, and ran weekly bid reviews on CTR, CVR, and placement data
Phase 2: Keyword Research and Negative Keyword Architecture
- Ran a full-category keyword audit using Brand Analytics, SQP reports, and competitor reverse-ASIN research
- Mapped the full keyword universe: head terms, brand-adjacent terms, long-tail buyer-intent phrases, and seasonal gifting keywords
- Built a tiered negative-keyword strategy across phrase, exact, and broad match to eliminate wasted spend
- Created an Auto-to-Exact keyword harvest workflow, building a self-improving keyword engine
Phase 3: Listing Overhaul and Conversion Engineering
- Rewrote titles and bullet points with the correct selection of keywords to maximize for indexing
- Overhauled backend search terms and redesigned A+ content with lifestyle imagery for the gifting persona
- Added product video showing softness, size, and comfort, and ran a structured $20 to $30 price test to find the best conversion and margin point
Phase 4: Aged Inventory Clearance and Cash-Flow Recovery
- Identified 3,825 units in the 181 to 365 day aged window, the highest surcharge risk
- Built dedicated one-keyword-per-ASIN clearance campaigns with aggressive Top-of-Search bids
- Reduced the aged-inventory surcharge from $7,432.61 to $2,288.98, a $5,143 cash-flow save in 30 days
- Improved healthy stock (0 to 180 days) from 41.6% to 56.6%, with clearance campaigns running self-funded and net-positive
Phase 5: Competitor Intelligence and Market-Share Expansion
- Mapped the competitive landscape across kids' comfort pillows, body pillows, and sensory plush
- Launched targeted ASIN campaigns, placing Cuddle Paw directly on competitor pages at peak intent
- Analyzed competitor keyword gaps via SQP and Brand Analytics to surface uncontested high-volume terms
- Grew category search exposure from 1.58M to 2.41M, with a peak of 3.09M
